HVXC continued its fast season start at Victor Ashe Park Fall Classic on Saturday Sept 5th.

HVA’s Boys’ Team gets the WIN as they outpaced 30 other teams from across the region. The effort was led again this week by Stephen Bell (Sr) who placed 4th individually out of 358 racers, followed by Aiden Rufi (Sr) in 7th, Isaac Socha (Jr) in 9th, Ignacio Almonte (Jr) in 10th, and Brody VanMeter (Jr) in 14th.

HVA’s Girls’ Team placed 2nd missing the top spot by an extremely small margin of 3 points besting all but one of 20 teams. They were led for the second week in a row by Zarah Enbom (Jr) who placed 5th out of 213 racers, Ava Woodyatt (Sr) raced herself into 9th, Linley Lawhorn (So) placed 13th, Ten Willie (Jr) 16th, and Ana Sofia Marquez (Sr) in 22nd.

Both teams continue to show vast improvement over last year’s marks at their first two races. Being this much stronger and fitter than they were at this time last year suggests that the Hawks are moving toward their goal of being competitive against the best teams in Tennessee and prepping themselves for National competition.
