HVA Cross Country has been putting in the work. As a result they are coming into championship form which showed at ON Twilight @ PR'ville in Huntsville, AL on Saturday night Sept 26.

HVXC, as a whole had a complete race. Combining the Boys & Girls' team score put HVXC as the Top team at this prestigious race.

The Girls' placed 3rd out of 29 teams in a blazing fast Championship Division. Allie Vesser (Sr) led the scoring with a SCHOOL RECORD breaking time placing 3rd. Zarah Enbom (Jr) placed in the medals in 20th of the 271 Champ racers. This strong TEAM finish wouldn't have been possible without the personal records set by Linley Lawhorn (So), 3rd for HVXC, Ava Woodyatt (Sr), 4th for HVXC, and Ana Sofia Marquez (Sr), 5th for HVXC.

The Boys' certainly did their part as well. They tied for 4th place out of 37 teams by all 5 team scorers running personal records, finishing in this order: Stephen Bell (Sr), Isaac Socha (Jr), Aiden Rufi (Sr), Iggy Almonte (Jr), and Brody VanMeter (Jr).

Bothe the Girls' and Boys' ran up in the Rated Varsity divisions and competing strong. The Girls' only had 4, lead by Sophia Leili (So), so no team score. The Boys' placed 9th of 26 teams, led by David Tafoya (So).
