Hardin Valley Academy Varsity Football had an impressive showing against Karns on August 21, 2026, at Karns. The Hawks dominated the game from the first whistle scoring on each of their first four possessions. The Hawks secured the a decisive victory with a final score of 49-0 against the rival Beavers. Seven different Hawks found the endzone on Friday night, and the HVA defense held Karns to less than 50 yards of total offense. Leading the charge for the Hawks, Senior quarterback Riley Matz was 13 for 18 with 176 yards passing and 2 TDs. Nick Rivers accounted for nearly 100 yds of offense on two touches with a 36 yard reception and a 61 yard touchdown run. Defensive leaders included Chance Sharp, Beau Wise, and Carter Jones. The Hawks hit the road this Friday to take on Morristown East.
